About the Instructor

Hi! I am César Garcia, I teach guitar at Westminster Catawba Christian School. I am Winthrop Student here in Rock Hill and have been learning music for over 9 years. Working with students is one of my biggest joys and I can't wait to see your student become a great guitar player over the summer!

FAQs

Do I need to buy a guitar for the course?

No, guitars are provided during the lessons, we recommend buying one to practice outside of class but it is not a requirement!

Where are the lessons?

Lessons are at Westminster Catawba Christian School 2650 India Hook Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.

What age students can attend?

This course is for middle-school and high-school students, their age does not matter as long as they are in 6th-12th grade.

What is the refund policy?

Lessons are paid in one packet ($500) for all 5 weeks. It is paid upfront and once paid there's a commitment that the student will be in class for their signed up times. There are no refunds after the payment.

What happens if my student misses class?

There will be a 2 hour make up class period Fridays for students that miss class to catch up.

How many kids are in each class?

These are small group guitar lessons with the focus to bring a close level of attention to your student, there are no more than 9 students per class.

What is your teaching style like?

Lessons are focused in fun ways to apply techniques that build good guitar playing. The goal is to bring musical passion through playing songs and growing as a musician. Focused heavily on strumming technique and left hand agility.
